Evaluation of X22CrMoV12-1 Alloy with Vanadium Carbide Addition Submitted to Powder Metallurgy

Usually, scraps of X22CrMoV12-1 alloy are obtained through machining steam turbine blades and recycled casting. However, this process is considered too costly. The viability recycling with addition vanadium carbide (VC) powder metallurgy was analyzed in study. Scraps VC were milled a planetary ball mill during 10, 30 60 hours. granulometry the determined laser granulometry. evolution particles morphology amorphization conducted using scanning electron microscope (SEM) x-ray diffraction (DRX) techniques. Stress-strain curves compressive strength test. results indicated that best milling condition found Also, produced by showed good mechanical strength.
